Yes it goes to the inbox page and when you refresh it says message was sent or something, try it.

I just did try it, I sent a PM to myself, it went to the inbox, refreshed it 20 times, it just refreshed the inbox, no more PMs sent. Refreshing the inbox wouldn't resend a PM.

You need to add the following to your .htaccess file.

DirectoryIndex /portal.php

The portal.php file needs to be in the httpdocs folder, that's where it should be anyway.

Where about's in the htaccess do I put this?

It shouldn't matter where it is.

You need to add the following to your .htaccess file.

The portal.php file needs to be in the httpdocs folder, that's where it should be anyway.

Ok guys this is what I have done, well I dragged the htaccess.txt to the desktop opened it and then added DirectoryIndex /portal.php saved it and overided it with the old one go to my site and nothing?

You need to change the file name from htaccess.txt to .htaccess Smile

Done that and still nothing?

So lets go over this I have dragged the file htaccess.txt to the desktop I go into it just copy and paste DirectoryIndex /portal.php right at the bottom then
I save it drag it back into where I got htaccess.txt from then I rename it .htaccess and thats it have I done anything wrong?

You can redirect people to the portal say every 24 hours, and the rest of the time it goes to the normal forum index.

Thanks alot it worked, but how can I add a link to the forums at the top?
Modify one of the templates are responsible for the portal by adding a link to the forum.
