does mybb have an event system like vbulletin?

I don't see an option to have a section dedicated to events like in vbulletin. is there a plugin that accomplishes that?

What do you want the events to do...?? There's calendar events, I assume that's not what you need...?? Would be helpful to explain exactly how it works on vB, not everybody here has used it

Furthermore I'd propose an event notification feature.
eg. a pm 2 days before to users who select to be notified for the event
