I wrote this, 11 days ago :

Quote:I have reviewed all other authors of "mods releases new thread" and most of them have been approved in less than 2 days as writen by Ryan Gordon in the "Important Threads" section : "Wait for a moderator to approve it. Approvals can take up to 48 hours - please be patient and don't create threads or PM staff about it.".

I have been "patient" for 7 days and now i do not have any other choices than to post a thread to tell that i am still waiting... Sad

I have followed the rules writen in Ryan Gordon thread scrupulously, but never saw my thread approved. Neither i have received any form of explanation ...

I still have 15 others "new releases" that need to be posted and i am waiting to see the outcome of my first one to decide what to do with the others.

The situation is repeating itself, now it has been 10 days for this new thread i posted and i am still waiting for it to be approved or to get an answer why it wont...

Curiously Yumi new release "Display Name / User Nickname Plugin" posted today at 04:03 AM has been already approved...

This time, i wrote a PM on Feb-13-2010, 11:09 AM, asking a member of the support team why i was always delayed for over a week. The PM was read and never answered.

From what i heard from other developpers, they never got this kind of situation.

This is very unprofessionnal even for volunteers and mostly unfair to behave this way only with one developper, from what it can see.

Beeing a very proficient developper of MyBB plugins and having over 140 plugins already available on MyBBCodes.com, from which 25% are free, this situation of restricting me to easily publish my recent plugins developments like other developpers is damaging MyBB reputation for all of us.

I hope this time i will receive a real answer and not just a "Done" and this thread beeing closed right away, like the last time...
#1. I know you didn't write all those 140 plugins. And, they have nothing to do with the matter.

#2. My advice is to report the posts so they come to a moderators attention a little quicker.
Yes Netsage you are right, i never wrote all those 140 plugins and never told i did. But over 31 of them have been completely writen by me and 9 others have been recoded by me! Wink

Unfortunately i cannot follow your advice, because i do not have any access to my unapproved posts in the release section. I cannot see them from the moment they are posted... Sad
Just a suggestion, why not just have one thread? Do we really need 140 threads all going to your site?
The sticky thread in that forum does say you can post it in the discussion and support forum and report it to be moved. Although it's unfair to make out this is happening to you on purpose, and only you, which is what you seem to be saying, and most certainly isn't the case (and I doubt you've asked every plugin author how long their threads took to be approved), this clearly isn't how we want the system to be working. Although Kieran may not have replied to your PM, he did raise the issue in a staff thread and we're discussing alternatives, so it's not like it was totally ignored.

If anyone has any suggestions for how to improve this system I'm sure they'd be taken into consideration.
Here is my suggestion, why not get well known and trusted webmasters to become mods and moderate those forums.
Webmasters like, Labrocca, Scoutie, Mark, Pirate Nervo, Myself (Toungue), Just to name a few

You should mention the one thread idea to the developpers who have already more than 38 threads posted. Like i have mentioned earlier i had only 15 recent releases to post.

My suggestion is to keep it the way it is and be fair with every developpers, not accepting 40 threads from one developper and giving trouble to another one who have only 3...

If you need statistics about the "Plugins & Code Modifications -> Releases" forum, here are some :
Quote:labrocca 40 threads.
babjusi 38 threads.
Pirata Nervo 28 threads.
Lennart Sauter 23 threads.
querschlaeger 9 threads.
exdiogene 3 threads.

Is there a reason why you are reacting about me, wanting to post 12 other threads about my recent releases and you did not react with the 4 other developpers having between 23 to 40 threads each?

There's is an option to apply to become a staff member.

Also labrocca had many of those threads before this system was even put in place Wink. They aren't singling you out it just happens.
Just to get this out there, I think everyone should only have one thread. Not saying just you...

Again, please don't make out that yours haven't been approved on purpose. We don't go in there, see your thread and think "Oh, there's a thread by exdiogene but I won't approve it because I don't want to", we're not treating you unfairly, yours have just been missed twice, it's nothing more than a coincidence.
