Hey there, just a simple idea, simple plugin I think.

I'd like for users to not have access to change their thread subject, but leave it to moderators, a) gives mods a job. b) they can't put the prefixes that staff put in and take out e.g. [TOTW] :@.

That would disable them editing their own posts, I just don't want them to edit their Thread Title..

Couldn't they always just insert what they wanted in the start, like name the thread with [TOTW]?

TOTW = Thread of the week. We edit the titles of the thread of the week, when the TOTW period is over we remove it, but some idiot changed it to [Ex TOTW]. It would also just be nice to just disable title editing to registered users.
