although Im missing a key element and that is a way to display the latest threads on this page where news and updates are currently... This probably cant be done via plugin so I need some form of way to do so, I am willing to pay up to $10-15 for this, if your interested, either reply or PM me

Couldn't you just use a basic Javascript RSS reader, and use the RSS feed? Would be easier :p. If you want to try that pm me. Its not hard at all :p

Why would you use xml, you could easily just do it in php.

the true task is not getting the news threads, its parsing+formatting them correctly, so they look like a true part of the page they're built into.
and since that is quite an amount of work, it is surely worth 15 bucks.
It isn't that much work, depending if he set up the css it will make it much easier, and I offered to do it for 10.
Basically thats what I need faviouz, but I need it to show like 50 characters from the post, so really what I want is the RSS feed. I can do the template and css work I just need the coding done for this, JammerX2 are you certain you can do exactly this?
