2. Just because you didn't get a response within a few hours doesn't mean you need to bump it, it means you aren't patient enough.

This isn't any less annoying, actually it's MORE annoying.
Try and be more patient. These rules are there so it's fair for everybody. If this feature wasn't enabled we would have people bumping their threads every 15 minutes, and that is not an exaggeration, people have tried to bump after less than that. Plenty of people, like yourself AJS, can follow these rules and not make new threads, you may not like waiting, but you follow the rules nonetheless.
