Under themes you edit the theme itself and there is a space to define the logo.

I know how to do that. You don't need to tell me that way. By replacing the default logo, you can still achieve the purpose.

Then why did you tell him to do it the wrong way? If his image was a png or jpg your method wouldn't work. If you're going to help people help them correctly.
