i get this error when trying to install mybb
Hmm never got this error try to make the whole file write able by write click on your file and clicking file permissions, then check all the "write" . Also try making the whole mybb files Numeric Number "777". I really dont know if this will help but its worth a try.
I think this is a PHP issue, not a MyBB issue, you should ask your host to see what they say. It would be a good idea to make sure your using the latest PHP version. A print screen of the error may assist.

i host my own site godaddy is just where .com is registered
I would suggest using a Linux based web server.
Well the problem is with IIS and not with MyBB, good luck.
well how come everything was fine till it got there & is there away to manuly install themes to get by this error
so i need to change to linux server well what server program for linux should i use
