What is your opinion regarding MOD's.
I have a few install, but can they reduce system security and cause potential security holes.

I hardly have any mods installed except things that provide fital functions.
For example, i will not install a mod for some more bb codes or an advanced profile look.
I will however install a mod like the MyShoutbox or a download system, and don't forget the page manager, which makes 90% of the mods excessive ^^.
They do present security holes though, but that depends on the mod itself, the shoutbox might crash for example, but i think the rest of my site is still pretty ( mybb clean install standards ) safe even with it installed.
It entirely depends on what you use. There's just as much chance of a plugin having a security issue as MyBB itself. It's not very often that someone finds a security issue in a plugin but there would always be a risk, just not a very big one.
