I would like that when I view portal.php it will display the forum instead of announcements from the forum.

In other words:
I would like the look of the index page - just with the portal boxes (welcome, pm, who´s online, ect.) on the left!

Get the sidebar plugin from MyBB Central.

I need a free solution !

Try pro portal out,it should get what you need. If not make a custom html box that iframes the index.
