which template and which part of that template should i edit to increase the width of my forum

What is your forum URL?
By default, you can change the forum width by editing your container id in your global.css
ACP -> Templates & style -> your theme -> global.css: change the width of the #container (or of the body)
Please be aware that your design may have been designed to be a certain width so it may mess other things up making it wider.

Stilli can give it a try mate, if its aint working i can backup my old one...so please give me info on how to change it...
