This plugin takes the portal boxes 1:1 from portal. So modifying them would break the consistence.

Great plugin, glad to also see its compatible with 1.6 as well

Disable the boxes in ACP > Portal settings. Or just edit the index template and remove:

{$welcome}
{$stats2}
{$whosonline2}
