As Mark said, this forum is meant to be an example board for people looking to use MyBB, so there's no chance of a thanks plugin being used and rep won't be enabled in the foreseeable future either.

I can see that, many people would abuse it

I am glad there is no reputation system because I would have around -34. Serious many people dislike hate me for telling the truth being so blunt and giving advice making fun of their threads .

I have seen the thank mod at work. They are amazing tools. People do use it correctly. The more you are thanked, the greater the reputation.
I don't like the inbuilt reputation system as they don't rely on posts

If mybboard doesn't want to use it, its fine
