MyBB Community Forums

I have set the permissions for the category and forum to allow guests to view and post. However, when i log out to test it, though it now recognizes me as a guest it still wants me to register to view the threads of the forum. I must be missing something obvious but am i doing something wrong or is this the way it has to be?

Did you set the permissions for the category and the forum? Unlike other forum software, MyBB doesn't have the ability for forums to inherit permissions.

You have also to set the right permissions for the guest usergroup but you'll need to change all the other category permissions or your guests will be able to post in all forums
