i have read all the sticky threads,changed the settings manually still yet no join.

Have you cleared the cookies after changed them?
Yea i have cleared cookies a few times and also tryed other browsers still no luck.
Oh i forgot to mention that the directory of the old installation was /mybb and i made a new mybb installation and reinstalled the backup.
i edited the settings or config.php cant remember, and it worked for awhile but now it aint , i managed to get into the adminCP , but keep getting logged out everypage but i found that the cookie path is still /mybb but i manually changed it to / , any ideas?
