Looking forward...

If I have around 100 members, and over 1000 posts, in about 100 threads, how large will my MySQL database be?

PS, how big is yours (MB)?

I think some million+ post forums have about 1GB per million posts, which includes a proportionate amount of other data in all the other tables, if you get what I mean. 1000 posts won't be anything massive.

OK, I am looking at different hosting companies right now, since I'm not pleased with mine. Any suggestions?

I think the limit here is whatever diskspace you have.

With 23.000 posts and 3.200 members.

Our members have made a total of 27,078 posts in 2,275 threads.
We currently have 425 members registered.
Total Database Size = 19.46 MB

I use HostGator, never had a problem with them.

I would get 5mb or less. Totally insignificant amount.

My biggest forum is 2.1 GB in size with about 3 million posts.

I have a plugin to remove quoted quotes and it saves me a lot of space imho in the DB.
