I've been having this problem for awhile now the task does not run automatically a/n admin has to click the clock image or whatever you want to call it.

URL?? Is the task code in your footer template??

And check the task.php's premissions too!

The task.php is at 755 right now

There's no task code in your footer template. Add this to it:

<!-- The following piece of code allows MyBB to run scheduled tasks. DO NOT REMOVE -->{$task_image}<!-- End task image code -->
