Hi guys,

Ive just install a mybb forum on a free host (crap host lol) , im wondering how i can move my files, database to another host without losing anything that ive added to my forum , posts , mods etc.

Hope someone can help me out on this , thanks in advance.

Make backup directory, buy new host and then install MyBB on that new host and load backup which u created.

how do i go about making a backup directory ? Sry im new to all this

You can backup your database in the MyBB ACP, and download your files via FTP.

AdminCP> Tools & Maintenance> Database Backups> New Backup> Select all tables > Perform Backup

Then upload it to your FTP or through your AdminCP
