How can I active captcha for registration only, not posting?

It's only enabled for posting if you've got guests posting, if you disable that you will get flooded with spam as there will be nothing to stop the bots posting. If they can post as guests there's no need to register, and then because there's no CAPTCHA on the posting pages, they'll just be able to post tons of spam without even needing an account, so you couldn't ban them.

I thought if I enabled that option that even my registered users would be required to fill out a captcha when posting.
