My post area seems to be out of position slightly , how can i adjust it ?

ACP --> Templates & Style --> Edit Your Theme --> Editor Style --> Change to Office 2007.
Or, something else I only realised a little while ago, edit the newreply/newthread/editpost template and adjust how many rows and columns the text area has. If you lower the number of rows and cols by 1 it'll probably be OK.
