Hi,

I just noticed a problem, don't know if it's just my forum or MyBB.

I posted a thread with the pound sign (£) in the Thread subject title and after I submitted the thread, I tried opening up the thread and got an error in the Chrome browser about a redirection loop, I also tried with IE, but with IE, the thread wouldn't open up at all, it's just stuck at loading. Once i edited the Thread Subject title and took out the £ sign, it started working again. I was able to open up the thread in both browsers.

Does MyBB allow special characted in the thread title? Or is something wrong with my forum?

Thanks Cool
I tested this on my test forum and was able to load the thread in both IE and FF without a problem. Link to the forum with the thread? Also, do you have any plugins installed that change the way URLs are made? That character seems to do something strange when I type it in as part of a file name.
Yes, I'm using the Google SEO plugin.

Here's a test thread: http://lithium-media.net/Thread-%C2%A3

There's a £ sign in the title, that thread doesn't load for me.
It loads fine for me in Firefox...
That doesn't load for me. I think it has to do with the fact it's trying to put that special character into the URL (which isn't translating right).

In FF for me:
The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

          cookies.
Google SEO has a redirect debug option, enable it and PM me the output.

What currently happens is that it redirects http://lithium-media.net/Thread-%C2%A3 to http://lithium-media.net/Thread-%C2%A3 which means that for some reason it thinks you are in a different location. It could be a misconfiguration of your host. Another possible source of the problem is missing mbstring support, but the plugin status would warn you about that one.
Thanks,

@Frost, I'm about to do that now, I'll PM you the results Smile
