I tried changing my domain from http://domainname.com/forum to http://forum.domainname.com. But I can not log into the forum using it so I have to return back and use http://domainname.com/forum instead. How can I fix this?

Sounds like you didn't change your cookie settings first.

Go to ACP > Configuration > General Configuration > set your Board URL to:

http://forum.domainname.com

cookie domain to:

forum.domainname.com OR .domainname.com

cookie path to:

/
