How often do you take a backup of your forum database?
Do you use the backup directory or download?
I try to backup everyday saving to the backup directory and then downloading.
My host has daily backups so I don't pay much attention.
My host automatically backs up files every 2 hours but I backup MySQL to the filesystem every day.
Once per week in the directory.
Once per 2 weeks, download.
Every 4 hours for the databases.
Every day for the whole cPanel account on the server.
Backups are rsynced nightly to 2 servers (one local and one off-site).
My host backups daily, and so do I.
Hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly auto-backup scripts that store in a folder not accessible by the public. Daily backup emailed to an email address with plenty of space (until any of them get too big, then this will have to be reworked). Download copies of all backups along with and at the same times as periodic backups of the entire website.
