I just moved all the files from /forum/ to the main website but whenever I select login it simply redirects me to /forum/. I have tried changing it in php my admin under setting row #29 or #30 to / but it is still doing the same thing.

What can I do to make it stay on / ?

Don't change settings in the database, it won't have any effect on the forum.

If you didn't change the settings before you moved the files, change them in ./inc/settings.php and then in the ACP afterwards.
