Is it possible to make a forum not viewable to users with under x amount of posts unless they are Admins?
By "not viewable" I mean: They receive an Error message when trying to view the forum.
I'm not quite sure what you meant by "View Threads".
MyBB has a promotion system based on post count.
Maybe you can use the feature for this.

As RateU suggests.. Use the promotional system built in mybb. Admincp>>Users & Groups>>Group Promotions>>Add New Promotion
Name it whatever
Select post count
Then set it up. It is not hard and it will work for you. I used it at another forum for the same reason with success. Hope this helps
