Hi. I have my forum set up on http://www.mydomain.com and would like to move it to forum.mydomain.com. I wondering what I would need to do.
ACP > Configuration > General Configuration > change your Board URL to http://forum.mydomain.com and then move the files.
Also, if they're not already, your cookies need to be set to .yourdomain.com to cover all subdomains.
Thanks Matt. Worked like magic. Now to how to set up a redirect of the main domain to the subdomain?
Ok. So I did some search here and found out I got to use 301 redirect on my control panel. I did it and it redirects alright. What baffles me is when I delete the files and folders of mybb in the original url directory, I get an error with the redirect. That is, when I visit the page from which I am redirecting, I get an error message.

What I want to ask is, even with the redirect, do I still need to keep the original mybb files in the original url folder from which I am redirecting? Or is it that I am not doing something right? Thanks a lot for your patience
You will probably need to keep your .htaccess file.
