I am currently running 1.411 and trying to upgrade to 1.412.
Followed http://blog.mybboard.net/2010/04/13/mybb...ce-update/ and downloaded changed_files_1412.zip.
Replaced all the files marked in red on the Server, uploaded the install directory (since I had deleted it after previous installation) and then went to http://myforum/install/upgrade.php
Everything went fine, but at the end it said successfully upgraded to 1.411. But am already running 1.411 and was trying to upgrade to 1.412.
Where I went wrong? Any clue? Please guide me.

Did you do everything it told you to do? Did you overwrite the files? If the files were not overwritten, then upgrading does nothing.

When I tried to upload the files marked with red at http://blog.mybboard.net/2010/04/13/mybb...ce-update/ using FTP Client, it alerted me that the file already exists. I selected overwrite and hope that should have ended up in placing the new files by overwriting the old ones.

MyBB 1.4.12 Documentation Wrote:1. Unzip the release archive to your computer using an archive utility capable of decompressing the download format you chose (WinZip, WinRAR)
2. Using an ftp client (FlashFXP, FileZilla, SmartFTP), upload the contents of the 'Upload' directory to the directory in which you have a previous version of MyBB installed, with the exception of uploading of the following file:
./inc/settings.php
3. In your browser, visit the URL where you installed your forums, appending /install/upgrade.php on to the end of it.
If you installed your forums to http://www.yoursite.com/forums/, then you would visit http://www.yoursite.com/forums/install/upgrade.php
4. Select the version of MyBB which you were previously running and click 'Next.' Follow the upgrade process through making sure each step is completed successfully before clicking 'Next' to continue with the next steps of the upgrade process.
5. Once the upgrade process has completed, please remove the install directory from your web server and follow any remaining instructions in the upgrade wizard, or in the announcement for the upgrade. This can include reverting selected templates to default.
Follow these instructions and see if it works. Then, to upgrade to 1.4.13 from 1.4.12, download these files - http://mybboard.net/download/120 and upload them to your forum, replacing the existing ones.

You mean to say I need to download full package of 1.412, remove the existing files and upload all the files to the Server before running upgrade.php?
