On my site I installed the meta tag plugin that allows you to type a description and also the google SEO (which also has meta)

so now the source code of my sites reveals two of the exact same descriptions and keywords.


which on should i disable?
and if i disable the meta tag plug-in will i be able to choose my own custom description for the main page?

Google SEO doesn't do keywords, so if you get keywords twice, that's some other plugin's doing then... You can add a custom description for the main page directly to your index template (and/or portal template, whichever you use as main page), no need for a plugin there...

wow looked to fast and it's actually a duplicate code for the meta tag plugin.
so would i be better of uninstalling this and doing it manually?

I updated these a few days ago and google has crawled my site numerous times but still hasn't updated meta in google.
