I would suggest a pop-up to ask a user whether to move/delete the posts in a forum while deleting a forum from the ACP
iirc you just merge the forums rather than deleting.
i know the correct procedures but this could prevent accidental post deletion.
I agree. It could be disastrous if a big forum accidentally deleted a forum.

I suppose, but you should still be paying attention in the first place so you don't accidentally the forum.
