Hi
I'm with host justhost.com
they say my forum is using to much CPU

Top Process %CPU 46.0 /usr/bin/php /home/myuser/public_html//forum/index.php
Top Process %CPU 44.0 /usr/bin/php /home/myuser/public_html//forum/task.php

They say I have to fix this problem
or remove the pages.
They susspended my account for hours it's up now
but I have to fix the problem.

Many thanks for any help
justhost.com? never heard of them... let's see...

* Unlimited GB's of Space
* Unlimited GB's of Transfer
* Unlimited Domain Hosting
* Unlimited E-Mail Accounts
* Unlimited MySQL Databases
* FREE Site Builder
* FREE Domain for Life
* FREE Instant Setup
* Anytime Money Back Guarantee

Uh-huh. I suggest you make use of that Anytime Money Back Guarantee (yeah right as if they'd ever give you your money back) and move somewhere else with less unlimited and more limited but guaranteed resources.

PS:
And a goddamn javascript thingy that tries to prevent you from moving away from the page. I hate those things.
And a quarter second spike of high usage shouldn't be such a big deal either. Though I have no idea why you're getting so much usage off index.php

What plugins do you have installed.
Unfortunately... I have heard this before from other users. The same complaint. I am sorry. Sad

Your host is pure crap.
I recommend heading to webhostingtalk.com going through the deals forum and finding a host that meets your current needs and gives you a good amount of space to grow (500mb to 1gb more than your currently using). You don't need unlimited everything. When you find one that meets your needs at a good price search web hosting talk for reviews and make sure they are good.

Hi ralgith and everyone who has posted
I have no add/on's and have just updated to version 1.4.13
My site takes up 80MB and the sql database is only 852KB
i.e. a backup

The below is what displays on the bottom right of my forum.

Generated in 0.0404849 seconds (82.16% PHP / 17.84% MySQL)
SQL Queries: 12 / Global Parsing Time: 0.0204921 / Memory Usage: 5.5 MB
PHP version: 5.2.9 / Server Load: 1.71 / GZip Compression: Enabled

and another time I get example.

Generated in 0.9559312 seconds (3.58% PHP / 96.42% MySQL)
SQL Queries: 9 / Global Parsing Time: 0.4781952 / Memory Usage: 5.5 MB
PHP version: 5.2.9 / Server Load: 3.61 / GZip Compression: Enabled

Is that OK?

Many thanks for any help!

p.s. I do have other sites on the same account at JustHost.com
in all, the disk space used is 600megs
Yeah, I agree with Labrocca, your host is just pure crap. You've got under 1 second times, are barely using any resources, and using GZip compression. Server load on second one is high, but if its a shared host that is EVERYONE on the machine combined. Not just you.
