Basically i change my cookie path to /index.php/ but now each time i login to my acp i get asked my id and pass then i click configuration i get asked everytime i select a setting and it wont let me remove the path

how could i resolve this?

Your cookie path should just be / not /index.php/ ..

You can change it in /inc/settings.php then you can login to your ACP and make the change permanent.

Never change your cookie settings, as the installer will set this for you. Changing this will result in your forum malfunctioning in this way.

You can edit it using your file manager on the server.

Ive done it through dreamweaver now and it worked so thanks again guys!

Out of interest, where did you get /index.php/ from?? It amazes em the settings some people put in sometimes.

Make sure you make the change in the ACP too.
