I was wandering before i installed MyBB, that you could add custom profile fields?
The next thing i was wandering, is, can you change the search function, so it searches these custom fields?

Yes you can create custom profile fields in the Admin CP

I think you have to use a modification for this. I don't think it can be done by default.
I have this implemented on my board and I've even offered Chris and Peter to take a look at it and get some of the code there, but I haven't heard anything back...actually my code goes a little further than that by allowing you to select which userfields are searchable and which not....
Unfortunately I can't give it out directly to everyone (ownership is with the organization that owns the site).
