How to make the sideboxes of portal.php appear on index page?
I tried pasting the codes on the index but they don't work.

You will have to make modifications to the core index.php file.

You just have to copy the correct lines of code from the portal.php file and put them in the index.php file.

Yes, you have to copy most of the portal code into your plugin file. That's what I did here:

Problem: Whenever the codes changes (update, security issue) you also have to update your plugin file...
