I received this page when I was in my ACP and then clicked on view forum, it went to the forum link but it said:-

This web page has a redirect loop.
The web page at http://mysite.com/forums has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.

I cleared the cookies and nothing happens too !

I am using Google Chrome by the way

After that, I went to Firefox and Internet Explorer. Gave the same error.

WHEN I WRITE :- http://www.mysite.com/forums/index.php it goes to the forum in a correct way, but when I click on VIEW FORUM from the ACP, it redirects me to http://www.mysite.com/forums and this gives the redirect loop problem

What shall I do please?

It was working well, I dunno what happened !
Would be good if we could have your actual URL... you've probably setup a redirect to redirect /forums/ to /forums/index.php but not set it up right.
http://nog.promasry.com/forums

When you go to that:-

http://nog.promasry.com/forums/index.php it will take you to the community

I am using a subdomain of my main domain www.promasry.com
Yeah, you've setup a redirect incorrectly. Did you make it in cPanel, via .htaccess...??
via .htaccess, I added some codes that I got from here to convert php extension to html extension
What to do?
Right, it'll probably be that then, what did you add?? Is that all you've added??
Hey Dude Hey, I deleted all the files of mybb forum from the sub-domain and the problem was so strange, THE CACHE Directory can not be deleted. it gives me this error:- 550 Could not delete showthread.css: Permission denied and SO ON for all the files inside that cache folder, I even can not delete the Upload Directory of Mybb because of that Cache directory inside it.... However, I ignored that, and re-created another sub-domain, uploaded all upload contents of mybb to it, and when I went to the installation wizard, it gives me the following error:-

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Why did you delete the forum?
Yeah I don't know what you did that for, you've just made more work for yourself Undecided

The cache folder sometimes can't be deleted because it has a different ownership, you'd need to ask your host about it.

As for that error, could be due to any number of things, 500 internal server errors aren't very clear... is there a .htaccess file in that folder too??
FTP Error sounds like you dont have access. The 500 internal error could be caused by a miltiude of problems Confused
Lol, matt I answered the same time XD, I was just doing some research on the 550 error befor eposting Big Grin
