Because we purchased it before we reached the $3000 target. We are still keeping the donation drive open so we hopefully do reach our target and thus reducing the amount coming out of Chris and Labrocca's pockets.

Indeed. WWW is deprecated.

I think their mission is silly. Asking everyone to put in an htaccess redirect for something every browser fills in with CTL+Enter. www is extremely harmless even if it's useless.

Really. I love www, I always use it on my sites, and I consider it almost mandatory if there isn't a subdomain. http://url.com just seems incomplete to me

If you have a long domain then using no-www makes sense.

ex: mysuperawesomewebsite.com looks better than www.mysuperawesomewebsite.com
BUT
MyBB.com looks worse than www.MyBB.com

Most Web 2.0 sites remove it.

I like to have the www if there are any other subdomains because it's more consistent. If there are no other subdomains then there's not much point in having the www 'subdomain.'
