I plan to use MyBB to power my web site's forum. My free web host offers 1500 MB disc space. I hope for my forum to become popular, but I'm afraid that as the post count continues to rise, I'll eventually run out of disc space. How popular do you think my forum can become before running out of disc space? In other words, how much disc space do MyBB posts and members take up?

Depends on the length on the message... I think the biggest forums have a database of about 1GB per million posts, so you'll be fine.

I've considered average usage to be 100mb database for every 100k posts. Disc space is normally not the problem though. It's actually database space and CPU usage.

If your forums become popular one has to reasonably assume you'll monetize enough to upgrade your hosting.
