I am making my first plugin. I am experimenting and want suggestions for easy to do plugins. I don't want to have to modify any core files just yet. Just a plugin.

Any ideas of simple stuff?

Perhaps make it so that users has to enter a minimum length of characters before their post is submitted. I think that will only need plugins.
