You're currently viewing a stripped down version of our content. View the full version with proper formatting.
Advent and Ei-System have announced a voluntary recall and replacement program for batteries used in certain Advent and Ei-System notebook PCs. Customers with a battery affected by this program will be eligible to receive a free replacement battery for each recalled battery.

We believe that certain batteries shipped in some of our notebooks may pose a potential safety hazard to customers. The batteries can overheat, posing a fire and burn hazard.

We are taking this action as part of our commitment to provide the highest quality of service to our notebook customers.

You should have received a letter in the post with a unique customer number. If you have not recieved a letter this could be because you did not give your full name and address when you purchased the Notebook, in this case you need to create a customer refernce number by selecting the option below.

If you have received a letter from us then please select the "I have a Customer number" option below. You will need your notebook at hand for the coming steps. First of all you will need to make a note of your notebook serial number. To do this you will need to turn off your notebook and remove the battery. Picture are shown on the next page to help find your serial number, record the number and then connect your laptop to the mains power supply – do not re-insert the battery until you have verified whether your battery is affected by this issue.
