What page are you on when you're repairing it?? Should be the list of tables, mybb_adminlog, mybb_adminoptions etc...
ive done it about 15 times and still nothing
do you think it could be something else?

Well, what is the error message that you are receiving?? Who is your host??
OK, and you tick the box next to the posts table and then repair?? You'd have to ask your host then. You've only just installed, there's no reason for it to be crashing anyway unless your host is really poor.
I'm hosted at hostgator ?
Well hostgator isn't the greatest but I'm sure other people are running on hostgator with MyBB Ok so contact hostgator and see if they can shed any light on the problem.
