Although I have made one successflul installation of 1.04 I now have
halt every time at Avatars Directory "not writable" although the directory chmod settings are writable (e.g. 666).

The other 3 directories that must be writable can easily be changed forth and back an the install procedure recognizes these changes - BUT not for the Avatar directory ! ?

Have tried to upload clean new 1.04 file sets at two different webhotel providers...

I am stuck... :-(

Any form of help much appreciated...

try chmoding both ./uploads and ./uploads/avatars to 777

hey

i doubt that those directories espciallym, will work with 666.
and also not chmoding the root directory of a certain directory, here for example, it is uploads. will cause the other to act as not chmoded.

777 just adds the list/execute permission, which I think is required by the folders, instead of just 666
