I've spent a few days coding and now I have my first completely custom php / html / css site.

I decided to get out of the websites game but a friend of mine at http://dotrb.net (Trilobyte-) is giving me some room on the server to keep a personal "About me" site to post my articles, plugins, and other work.

Tell me what you think!

Thanks! I like the menu colors though. :p
Doesn't appear too well in IE 8, nice idea though :p
(I don't have a choice for any other browser at school Smile)
Shouldn't this be in Showcase?
P.S. Nice looking design, its very professional.
I'd suggest choosing a white font on the navbar though.

Yeah I saw that. I don't really feel like spending the time to figure out everything that's wrong in IE though. lol

This isn't a forum so I don't think it belongs in Showcase.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.
Oh alright, I forgot that the showcase is for MyBB Forums only.
Not bad for your first site! Looks good although the menu is out of touch with the rest and the font could maybe be a pinch darker.
Oh another suggestion:
Don't make it so we have to scroll down two parts of your site.
IE: Use both down toolbars.
In my opinion, the contrast is too low. But besides that, it looks nice.

Quirksmode that's what's wrong Wink You should have specified a doctype.
example at the top of your HTML document:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd">

p.d. Don't use this one, because your site isn't XHTML compliant.
