Yay, I finally finished making my SVG smiley set!
Boo, there's nowhere I can use them as-is.
I can't even use them raw on my own forums because svg doesn't work with , only (which would have a fallback , which would have the fallback alt="" text).
Well, time to start rendering PNGs. At very least I can guarantee them being decipherable.
V2:![[Image: f31_fun_v2.png]](https://camo.mybb.com/059290f4e168343fb65158626bafeb35a6f12346/687474703a2f2f7777772e6661776b6573736f66742e636f6d2f706572736f6e616c2f736d696c6965732f6633315f66756e5f76322e706e67)
(Pixel by pixel, separated into layers for ease of changing)
V3:![[Image: f31_fun_v3.png]](https://camo.mybb.com/f279984634081f2a72b531d3108306c805018013/687474703a2f2f7777772e6661776b6573736f66742e636f6d2f706572736f6e616c2f736d696c6965732f6633315f66756e5f76332e706e67)
(Redone completely in Photoshop, still a raster image)
V4:![[Image: f31_fun_v4.png]](https://camo.mybb.com/82b10a8b137b2da32cb12aee08a6468787c6c7f5/687474703a2f2f7777772e6661776b6573736f66742e636f6d2f706572736f6e616c2f736d696c6965732f6633315f66756e5f76342e706e67)
(Pure SVG done in stInkscape)
The files were done as separate layers for each different feature so that all I had to do to make another smiley was turn off a couple of layers and turn on some more, and poof, an angry or surprised face. Interestingly, I found I can express a wide range of emotions with only 5 mouths, 5 eye pairs, and 5 eyebrow pairs. The ears just add a touch more emotion, but it's difficult to tell the difference between a sad face with the ears up and a sad face with the ears down.
I wish I still had V1, but it got lost in some zip file I thought was unimportant or something. Just imagine V2 without the hair and a pink background due to being BMP instead of PNG. They are a bit big (FF says 16pt to render at the proper size @ 96ppi) but the size has been a direct translation since V1. As you can tell by the smiley at the end here I went more for an almost pixel-perfect translation rather than trying to improve it more at larger sizes.
I'm so proud I finally finished something artistic in a way I like.

Sorry for ranting about something I doubt many people care about.
