MyBB was unable to send the email using the PHP mail() function.
Ok, you either need to ask your host to enable the mail function (which is unlikely if your on a free host) or use SMTP.
What's the result of this?? [Wiki: Help:Mail] (Broken link, head over to docs.mybb.com instead)
Still does not work

Did replace [email protected] with your email address?

What doesn't work, does SMTP work, does that mail test Matt linked you work? Your going to have to give use detailed information so we can identify your problem.
If it said that test failed, and you edited your email address into it correctly, then PHP mail is disabled.

Ask your host if PHP mail is disabled, if it is, you will need to use SMTP
if SMTP will not send either what happened to me on some hosts, u may change the host =/
Ok I tried it and I replaced it with the email adress which I put as the:
Admin Email
The administrator's email address. This will be used for outgoing emails sent via the forums.
From the Admin Cp-General Configuration field, is this correct?

I did the thing from the link that matt said and it said 'mail was sent by PHP' when I went to the page.(test the php mail section of the link)

I dont know how to check SMTP.

If you's need anymore information just ask
