Well then how to allow users to fill up the field only once? What if I will delete custom field from the template usercp_profile_customfield ? is that the only way?
That would theoretically work but if they knew what they were doing they could forge a post header and change it as there is nothing in the program physically preventing it from being changed.

I still don't understand what this feature for if nobody can edit this field, even on register page?
If I swich field to "Required" and "not editable" then any sense in using of "Required" value is losing.
Of course it has to be editable for them to edit it. It could be used by moderators etc if the user can't edit it, to store info on a user.
