MyBB version: 1.4.13
Upgrade: phpBB 2 -> MyBB 1.4.10 I think -> 1.4.12 -> 1.4.13

MyBB seems to be trying to create more pages than it needs.
Example: if there are replies to a thread, it will make a page 2 but no posts will be put on the page.

Is this a bug or something not configured properly.

Other info that may or may not help: "Posts per page" is set to 20, this seems to have carried over from the origonal phpBB setup.

I think its because MyBB automatically creates the next page before a post is made that would require another page.

Look for a thread that says "x pages" but the last page doesn't exist and then add a reply to that thread and suddenly the last page exists

Did you try rebuilding the Thread Counters? If not login into ACP -> Tools & Maintenance -> Recount & Rebuild -> Rebuild Thread Counters.
