We've done a handful of premade themes available for sale there (as a portfolio more or less for now) as well as just completed our second custom request. From what I can tell both customers are very satisfied.

As an additional portfolio source, I've individually (most from several months ago when I was newer to MyBB) created a handful of freely available MyBB themes; http://mods.mybboard.net/profile/17320/downloads

Besides that, I'm also pretty weathered when it comes to most areas of MyBB, excluding the coding of plugins, so I'd be able to support you in the future in terms of updates, plugin installs, etc.
