I created a "mybb" directory (vers.1.4), uploaded all files to this directory, set file permissions (as specified by install) from within filezilla and when I run the install It just sits on the welcome screen, clicking next does nothing but refresh the page, it does not bring up the license agreement.
And renamed the config file to config.php as directed.
I can not install.....help

Yes, no change....I will try that again though to make sure.
Could you PM me your FTP details so I can have a look at it.
Are you using Internet Explorer?? IE is known to have a bug relating to form buttons.

yes but it does seem to refresh the page when clicking the button.
I PM'D the ftp details....
I would suggest trying a browser like Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.
Happens for me in Chrome too.
What PHP version are you running??
