I've started to see these showing up and I'm not sure on the rules on them.

We all know about url shorteners. And, many of us love them.

But, my question is are the ones like adf.ly where they make money off the redirect allowed?

And, if not does this include signatures or just posts?

Doesn't that fall under affiliate links? Imho it should.

I would think so but want to make sure.

I think they should be treated as referral links personally.

I just hate shortened links, they really wind me up

I've gotten used to them. I kind of like the randomness. Anyway, you know you can install a plugin on Chrome and Firefox that expands the url right?

Adfly is a bigger problem on Support Forums. I actually haven't seen any here.

Adfly isn't much hassle. When I shorten url's, I usually use http://3.ly
