You said only GPL compliant. Does that include creative commons? I personally release all my work, under the creative commons 2.5 (Ca). Does that mean if i make a mod, or pay for one to be released under the CC 2.5 that it can't be set in the mods site?
Also does this mean i can purchase copyright removal soon?
Can you be more specific? In what context and circumstances did who say only GPL compliant?

Oh sorry, i am tired i should've waited, but in the blog post, it said "GPL compatible" i was wondering what that actually meant. Does that mean Creative commons isn't in it or i can't release here?

I'm still not sure what your exact question is (I think you have a question further then this) but here are GPL Compatible licenses:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_FSF...e_licenses
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/license-list.html

Well yes and no, So a license not on that list won't be admitted? Like if i release a theme under creative commons, i have to do it on my site?

Well if you read the whole blog post, it says MyBB 1.6 will be released under the LGPL, which will solve this licensing problem. We also won't be sending out C&D notices because of this.
I think he is talking about this line:
Quote:We cannot allow non-GPL compatible licenses right now on the MyBB modifications site at this time and we have no plans to allow them.

"right now" that's true but when MyBB 1.6 is released under the LGPL that won't be an issue. The point is there's no reason to go enforcing different rules for such a short period of time.
Yea thats it. So i guess i keep my stuff to myself then, or on a secondary site..
