How do I suspend a member from posting?

Is it pemenant or a couple of hours, days, months or years?

You can ban him for a X amount of time.

u can set the warning level and can give that amount of warning then the posting will be suspended..

When logged in as admin go to a users profile and click "Ban this user in Mod CP".

Does than ban them from the entire forum or just stop them from posting Tim?

It completely bans them, however this will work

Please note you can set this manually in 1.6
